breaths taken should be long and full. with inhales being deep and thorough*. Exhales being similar to blowing out candles on a cake; slow and controlled.

*this is something that might prove to be difficult for some, but with practice, this style of breath-work can help your body’s systems to self-regulate.

HYDRATION AFTTER A BODYWORK SESSION IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS BEFORE THE SESSION, if not more.

hydrating helps to flush out the lactic acid, toxins and metabolic waste that is stored in our body’s tight muscles and is ‘brought up to the surface’. This is an important time to hydrate and flush the system.

Rest. rest is essential in body’s recovery as well as our mind’s. Rest can be in the form of a warm bath or hot/cold shower, stretching while breathing deep with thorough exhales, or even going to be early to get extra rest. These things all help contribute to overall wellbeing and vitality.
